Short introduction…

We are Simone and Jeroen Goetheer. We live in the village of Kortgene.  Our daughter Marleen was born on December 17th 2004. We are very proud on our four Border Collies. Marleen and the dogs are a great combination and they get great pleasure out of each other.

History

Our first Border Collie, Nowi, came with us about three years ago. His breeder was P. Gutjens in Nederweert. Nowi was bred out of show Border Collies. We both liked training him and therefore soon our second Border Collie, Scully (we just called her Sullie), arrived. She was four years old and came from a family living in the neighbourhood of Katwijk aan Zee. With these two dogs we started sheepdog training, which soon got a hold on us and resulted in our own training field and flock of sheep. Then we bought Job and Meggie and with these two dogs we are determined to carry on with training to trials standard.

More recent…

Although Job and Meggie were litter brother and sister, the two dogs not only look different but also have totally different working styles. Job turned out to be a self confident and evenly balanced tricolor male, while Meggie, a black and white bitch, seems to be quite insecure and nervous. They both work their sheep with passion but we think Meggie just needs some more time.

Scully now found a new home with a family in Zierikzee. She’s the only pet in the household now.

Our youngest member of the pack is Jill, a very keen bitch with a lot of spirit. We think she’s talented enough but we’ll have to wait and see how she will develop. For the time being those exciting things called sheep make her go generally bananas. She is from Aled’s Cap and running well with Marleen, she will be starting trailling soon.
